From January 2026, Enhanced Living by UK home textiles company, Tyrone Textiles, is proud to announce a new partnership with The Sleep Charity to raise awareness of how improving bedroom environments can give a better night’s sleep. For every sale of their best-selling blackout curtains*, Tyrone Textiles will donate a percentage of the sale to The Sleep Charity.
The curtains are created with advanced technology to reduce unwanted external light, regulate room temperature and help lower everyday noise, creating a more peaceful and restorative night’s sleep. With poor sleep linked to physical and mental health challenges in adults and behavioural problems and poor mental development in children, both organisations are committed to raising awareness and providing practical and reasonable solutions for better rest.
The Sleep Charity campaigns to improve sleep while accessing high quality information, raising awareness of the value of a good night’s sleep and promoting the understanding of sleep complexities. They state that, sleep is essential for our health and wellbeing, yet it is estimated that 40% of the UK population suffer with sleep issues and many do not get the support that they need.
For children’s growth and development, a good night’s sleep will help them to do better at school, allow them to react more quickly to situations, have a more developed memory, learn more effectively and solve problems. Blackout curtains are vital for shift works and those sleeping irregular hours. Quality sleep is essential for everyone, regardless of age, sleep patterns and work schedules.
Enhanced Living is a well trusted UK brand providing everyday affordable and fashionable soft furnishings with major focus on improving health and quality of life. The curtains have added properties; improving thermal efficiency, which in turn can help reduce energy bills and reducing external noises. These properties overall help to reduce stress in the home aiding a restful night’s sleep.
The partnership will bridge the gap bringing together two like-minded organisations, from different standings to help people achieve a better night’s sleep.
Gemma Green, Managing Director at Tyrone Textiles, states: “Sleep is a huge part of our wellbeing, yet so many households struggle with early morning light and noise from outside. We’re proud to partner with The Sleep Charity to raise awareness of how a darker, calmer bedroom can support healthier sleep. By donating from every blackout product sold, we’re able to contribute directly to the charity’s important work across the UK.”
Lisa Artis, Deputy CEO at The Sleep Charity, adds: “Creating the right sleep environment is one of the most effective – and often most overlooked – steps people can take to improve their rest. Light pollution, fluctuating temperatures and external noise are common barriers to good sleep, and simple changes can make a big difference. We’re delighted to partner with Tyrone Textiles to raise awareness of these issues and to ensure more households have access to practical, affordable solutions that support healthier sleep. Their support will help us continue our vital work in empowering the nation to sleep better.”
